Madison's first year she missed the Girl's State Tournament because I didn't know there was one and missed registration. To make it up to her I found an All girls tournament 90 minutes from home. We arrive at the tournament and my little seven year old is nervous. We head to weigh-ins and I'm told I can't go with her as it's in the girl's locker room. She is petrified and wants to go home. A voice calls out from the right of us and the women says, "do you want me to take Madison back and get her weighed in?" The Women was Faith Disney's mom. Faith is a few years older than Madison and was the only other girl at our league wrestling tournament a couple weeks earlier. Faith took Madison under her wing, warmed up with her and helped coach every match. If it wasn't for Faith and her mom, I don't know if my daughter would still be in this great sport.

We at Team Sassy Sports pledge to use 10% of our profits to help grow girl's wrestling. We are setting up a girl's wrestling scholarship fund to help give deserving young ladies the opportunity to attend wrestling camps free of charge. We will be sponsoring girl's dual tournament teams, paying entry fees and outfitting the teams. At a future date, we are interested in hosting a "Team Sassy" Girl's Dual Tournament free of charge to all participants to include K-8 and High School Novice and Elite Divisions.
